Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4 Pizzas

Ingredients

  • 500 g (2 cups) box passata
  • 4 tablespoons (4 tablespoons) tomato puree
  • 2 teaspoons (2 teaspoons) garlic granules
  • 1 tablespoon (1 tablespoon) oregano
  • 1 tablespoon (1 tablespoon) basil
  • 2 teaspoons (2 teaspoons) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (1 teaspoon) honey or sugar
  • optional chilli flakes

Instructions

  • Pour the passata into a saucepan and add in the tomato puree and all the herbs. Bring the sauce to a simmer and continue to simmer for about 10 minutes whisking continuously.
  • Simmering the sauce eliminates the water content of the tomatoes, making your sauce extra thick.
  • Let the sauce cool before using it on a pizza base. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
